An Overview of the Day-to-Day

What does a day in the life of a Workers’ Comp Intern look like?

A Workers' Comp Intern does a lot of different projects and reports. On a day-to-day basis I assist the CSR team with indexing, requesting medical records, and bill returns. In addition to my daily tasks I work on various projects.

What has been your favorite project this summer?

Throughout the summer my favorite project has been developing a comprehensive training manual for the CSRs in Workers' Comp. This was my favorite project because I was able to sit with each individual to learn how each task is completed and understand their jobs better. I also love the outcome of doing this project and knowing it will be used to benefit the new employees.

What are your top five desk essentials that you would be lost without?

My top five desk essentials are my computer, pictures of my family and friends for the tough days at work, pad of paper to write my notes on, a pen, and my calendar.
