First days of a new job: We make it easy.

Sometimes, it’s not easy being the new kid on the block at a company. Many companies are quick to plunk you in a cube, show you how to boot up your PC, give you a crash course in your job duties, and wish you the best. This is definitely NOT the case at SECURA:

  • From the minute you walk in the front door, we promise to take care of you. Your first day involves getting to know your fellow associates, taking a tour of our office and lunching with your supervisor.
  • Within your first few days, if you’re starting at our Home Office, you’ll be invited to participate in SIMPLE, our new associate networking program. (SIMPLE stands for SECURA Insurance Mentoring Program Learning Experience, but it’s much easier to call it SIMPLE.) Lunch is on us while you converse with a mix of veteran associates and other new associates in our Café. It’s your chance to get a jumpstart on networking and ask important questions such as, “Are the SECURA grounds really haunted?” (maybe), and “Is the pond stocked with any fish?” (It is!)
  • If you’re an intern or summer student at our Home Office, you’ll be invited to several group lunches throughout your stay. At times we have over 30 students working throughout our buildings, and we feel it’s important to connect them. Many of our interns remain in contact with each other long after having first met over pizza and Dilly Bars at SECURA!
  • After that comes QuickStart, a jam-packed two-day program at our Home Office designed to help you get to know other new associates and learn about all our departments directly from our division leaders. You will also get to chat directly with our President and CEO, Dave Gross. This program is filled with fun and games, including an evening social event!

Once your orientation is complete, your path at SECURA is up to you! We invite you to veer from the routine trodden path to search high and low at SECURA to find the career path that best suits your needs and offers up challenges. We’re all about internal promotion for those who work hard, so strap on those hiking boots or running shoes, and let’s go!

SECURA’s Links Group works to bring associates together, crossing departmental lines and obscuring job level distinction, all for the sake of having fun. The Links Group organizes company-wide activities for a range of interests, bringing associates together outside the office.

More recently, associates have bonded at the Badger Sports Park, worked "overtime" to collect food for local pantries, kicked back at a Green Bay Gamblers hockey game, and competed against one another in a lively cribbage tournament.
